Database Quick Guide

Database Quick Guide

A username and password is required in order to begin entering items into the database. If you have any questions regarding login details, please contact a member of the CASH team: sfh-tr.CASH@nhs.net

  1. Log in and click on the Database tab.

  2. Click on Add New Record at the bottom of the page

  3. Highlight the relevant categories for your item. You can select more than one category by holding down the Ctrl button. Try not to select too many, just choose the main category for the item plus one or two more.

  4. Enter a title

  5. Use the source field to enter the bibliographic details as follows: Department of Health or Behaviour Research & Therapy. June; 45(6) p.1085-94 

  6. Enter the URL into both the Link Text  and  URL fields. Remember to use http://. It is quicker to copy and paste.

  7. Remember to tick the Open in New Window checkbox!

  8. The abstract field can be used to enter a short description of a report or research findings. Write your own brief description.

  9. Date Added should be entered in the following format: dd/mm/yyyy Choose from calendar.

  10. Select your name from the drop-down list to complete the Created by field.

  11. Check that the information looks correct and click on Save

  12. Enter additional items or click on Logout towards the top right-hand corner of the screen

  13. If you wish to edit or delete a record, first search for it, then either click on Edit or select the entry in question using the tick boxes and then click on Delete Selected button towards the bottom of the screen.
